Here are some of the best Christmas markets to visit in London for the 2025 festive season—and the best part is, the majority of them are free to enter.

Leicester Square Christmas Market
The festive fun starts early here! These markets are expected to be open from early November 2025. It’s free to attend, or you can book a session on their ice rink.

Southbank Centre Winter Market
These are some of my personal favourites. Picture little winter cabins along the river with the stunning backdrop of Big Ben—it’s a truly classic London experience.

Covalent Garden Christmas Markets
The iconic Covent Garden gets even more magical. The markets typically open in mid-November 2025, are free to attend, and, in my opinion, serve up the best mulled wine in the city.

Bristol’s Christmas Market
While a short trip from London, Bristol’s market is well worth the visit! They are expected to open in mid-November 2025. They have markets all year round, but they get a wonderful festive takeover.

Kingston Christmas Market
The Kingston markets are scheduled to open in mid-November 2025. I went to this one last year; it’s very sweet but quite small. I’d recommend pairing it with another activity in the area to make a full trip of it.

The River
Finally, don’t miss this spot, which is also expected to open in mid-November 2025 near London Bridge. It features a two-story glasshouse terrace with breathtaking views over the Thames, making it a perfect festive pitstop.
